Our client is a global, multi-million pound manufacturer of components for the automotive and aerospace industries. They are looking for a European CEO to implement their ambitious expansion plan over the next 5-10 years. Based in the UK, the organisation was founded over 20 years ago and has grown rapidly over the last 5 years.

About the company

Our client is based in the UK and having formed 20 years ago, they initially focused on the UK market for the first 15 years of their existence. However, after appointing a new CEO 5 years ago, they have expanded rapidly across Europe and increased their international footprint as well.

As a result, they have undertaken a significant restructuring to focus on specific markets, splitting the business into UK / Europe/ US / Asia divisions. The previous UK CEO is now the new Group CEO and is keen to build upon their previous expansion, with Europe a major focus, hence the creation of this European CEO role.

About the role

Reporting to the Group CEO, you will be an ambitious individual with demonstrable experience in delivering strategic growth. Whilst based in the South East head office, a substantial amount of travel will be required across the major European markets, in particular France and Spain.

You will be required to develop and implement individual country strategic plans, ensuring ambitious targets are met and overseeing each country’s Board of Directors who will report in to you.

Attending monthly board meetings will be a major part of the role, with a constant requirement for reporting on performance and identifying any potential issues which impact the delivery of the strategic targets.


Key responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing multiple strategic business plans
  • Leading multi-national teams of directors
  • Managing multiple businesses across different countries
  • Reporting performance against KPIs to the Group Board on a monthly basis


  • Minimum of 7 years successfully leading a multi-million pound manufacturing business
  • Demonstrable evidence of delivering significant growth over a 5 year period
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Experience of the automotive and/or aerospace industries would be an advantage
  • French or Spanish language skills would be extremely beneficial
