Operations Director Headhunters

The Business:

Founded in 1992, Nviro is a leading contract cleaning company which provides cleaning, hygiene and facilities management services across southern England.

They have a strong track record of service delivery spanning 20 years and currently clean 1,400,000sqm of floor space for more than 130 public and private sector organisations, covering 600 sites across London and the South of England.

Nviro is a subsidiary of The Quarr Group, one of the region’s largest providers of business support services, with a turnover of c.£70 million.

The Challenge:

This was a key hire for the company and it was important that we filled the role in a timely fashion.

This was a holistic role to plan, develop and implement strategy for operational management to meet the organisation’s performance plans within agreed budgets and time scales and play a significant role on the Company’s Board of Directors.

Nviro needed an individual with experience in aiding the progression of people in an organisation as they would be responsible for the management, support and development of four key members of their Senior Management team.

Our Candidate:

For this Operations Director role, Nviro required someone with experience of being a company’s ‘customer champion’ by focusing on customer service and staff development and improvement.

Strong commercial acumen and a record of improving service levels, quality and customer satisfaction with a proven impact of reducing customer churn were also necessary of the successful candidate.

The ability to perform successfully as a Board Director would obviously also be key given their stance within the company.

Our Solution:

An individual who was a National Account Director in their previous role and had experience working as an Operations Director in the recent past. They’d married high levels of customer service with a commercial mindset throughout their career.

The successful candidate was a Board-Level communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and they always took pride in their work, which was especially important in order to fit in with the organisational culture of Nviro.

Nviro were also impressed with their knowledge and awareness of operational methodology within the industry.

We knew we had to provide an Operations Director with the same cultural values.

Identifying the Candidate:

With this headhunt we used our successful experiences in the facilities management sector to find suitable candidates. Although the successful candidate was working under a different title, we were able to identify that this individual had all of the transferable skills and necessary experience to excel in Nivro’s opportunity.
