The Role – Sales Director
Location – Wakefield
Our client is a leading tile manufacturer looking to hire a results-focused Sales Director to oversee their sales division. The business is rapidly expanding, they’re currently implementing a long-term growth plan with the aim of doubling their turnover.
The role requires a motivated, high-dynamic natural leader who can work alongside the MD to achieve the business’s vision and drive the company forward. The Sales Director role involves managing the daily activities of the team and expanding the business into new markets, as well as building on their strong reputation in the building trade by extending their client base into the architects and B2C markets. As such, experience in these areas is desirable.
The Sales Director will be responsible for formulating the UK sales strategy with the aim of delivering growth in line with existing plans, as well as communicating progress and results to external teams. The Sales Director will develop and implement strategic plans with the aim of opening up new verticals and driving B2B and B2C sales.
Candidates are required to have a flexible approach to sales team support. You will be well organised, with excellent relationship building and negotiation skills in addition to strong overall business and commercial awareness.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, ambitious, and passionate about developing teams and delivering growth. You will have a clean driving licence and an enthusiastic approach to traveling in order to build new markets and relationships. You must be able to operate strategically and drive your team to achieve sales growth. Experience working in business development or sales involving architects and specifiers is required, as is the ability to build B2B relationships, for example DIY multiples and builders merchants.
