Our client is a market leading consultancy for architectural projects that are valued anywhere between six figures to multi-millions of pounds. They are looking for a Non-Executive Director to help them expand over future years.
Role: Non-Executive Director – Architecture
Salary: £negotiable depending on hours

About the company
Established more than 20 years ago, our client deliver architectural consultancy services to a range of public and private sector organisations. Historically, they have been very successful in the private sector and are keen to increase their public sector footprint in order to expand more rapidly.
The projects they have engaged on range from multi-million pound office buildings and town planning, to smaller landscape projects undertaken by private investors. They are now looking for an expert architect as a Non-Executive Director to help them take that next leap in growth.
About the role
As Non-Executive Director, you will be expected to bring external expertise to the organisation. In particular, our client is keen to win more public sector business so you will be required to ensure they are delivering proposals and responses to tenders in the right way, that delivers value and successful outcomes.
In addition, business development will be crucial, through the building of strategic relationships, especially within the public sector. Identifying competitor strengths and weaknesses and advising our client on how to win business against these will also be a core part of the role.
The time commitment to the role is negotiable and our client will be guided by the successful candidate’s expertise in terms of what they think is required.
- Analysing existing plans, making recommendations for improvements
- Delivering a commercial insight to the current market and key competitors
- Developing strategic relationships, particularly amongst the public sector
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years experience of public sector infrastructure projects
- Chartered Member of RIBA
- Demonstrable evidence of being responsible for the significant growth of an organisation
- Excellent analysis skills and commercial acumen
- Superb presentation and communication abilities
A negotiable remuneration package is available depending on the agreed time commitment.
