redundancy programme

We start our approach with an in-depth series of meetings with client management to fully understand the process and the time-scales involved. We have a large portfolio of potential courses and trainers and will ensure that our approach is tailored towards client needs and more particularly to the needs of the individuals going through this difficult process.

It may be appropriate to design a questionnaire for delegates to complete so that the most popular form of support can be identified and planned accordingly. All delegates will have differing needs depending on their skills, experience and time spent with the organisation – i.e. when did they last look for a job?

Although the final programme structure will of course be dependent on these initial meetings, the table below set out some of the areas we would expect to deliver as part of the programme.

Group workshops One to one sessions
Interview skills Mock interview and feedback
Use of the web Identifying new directions
Dealing with recruitment agencies CV surgery – tailoring to jobs
Job search activities Writing job specific applications
Writing CVs Self analysis – ‘ME plc’
Career break implications Highlighting achievements
Assertiveness and confidence Retirement planning
Self employment option Writing covering letters
Responding to adverts Emotional support
Speculative applications Career planning

In addition to the areas above our experience shows that there will be a need for on-going support following on from the sessions. These are offered via email or over the phone.

We deliver a non-prescriptive learning solution for our client partners. Our approach, whilst underpinned by robust models and theories focuses heavily on practical issues. Through our experience we have found that a relaxed, open and non -threatening ‘work shop/surgery ’ style environment creates the best possible climate for delegates to learn and develop.

In addition we believe in truly bespoking the programme according to individuals’ needs. This allows us to be able to target key areas of strengths and weaknesses of each delegate.

Our overall approach will be flexible and will aim to fit in with organisational culture in terms of format, content and facilitation style.
